DONATIONS OF CROPS FROM PETROTERMINAL PANAMA, S.A. FARMSTIONS OF CROPS FROM PETROTERMINAL PANAMA, S.A. FARMS
Petroterminal de Panamá S.A. continues to provide food support to the San Vicente nursing home and the Betel Shelter, in Chiriquí Grande, Bocas del Toro. During the year, the company has donated products harvested at Finca Chiriquicito to various shelters, nursing homes, and hospitals to help feed these people, benefiting approximately 52 senior citizens.
Up to the month of September, we have donated:
– 150 pounds of pipe
– 765 plantains
– 250 pounds of yucca
– 600 pounds of rice
– 245 pounds of chicken
During the protests that paralyzed the flow of food and supplies to this area, the nursing homes benefited from the farm’s crops to nourish the adult residents.
“Nourishment in childhood and older adulthood is vital to maintaining health. We are proud to be able to help the residents of Hogar San Vicente and Albergue Betel enjoy a better quality of life,” said Jorge Chin, Administrative Supervisor of Terminal Atlántico. “We know that both the residents and those who manage these centers appreciate our support and we will gladly continue this work.”
Petroterminal de Panamá S.A. will continue to deliver the crops from its farms through the rest of the year, thus supplementing proper nutrition for elderly residents.
