HIGHSCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS OF PETROTERMINAL DE PANAMA, S.A. TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THEIR INTERNSHIPS
Petroterminal de Panamá, S.A. continues working in commitment with community development focused on education. For this reason, in 2019 and with the support of COSPAE, the initiative of a scholarship program for technical high school graduates for low-income residents of the county of Chiriquí Grande was born.
After great challenges in 2022 the six young scholarship students successfully completed their professional practice in the Maintenance Department of the Atlantic Terminal and obtained their Highschool Industrial Certificate in Autotronics, Mechanical Technology and Electronics, respectively.
PTP invested B/.44,292.00 in this program, which contributed with meal plans, transportation, and overhead school expenses. All this with the aim of supporting the academic development of these young people and creating a “seedbed” of potential candidates to be later considered to subsequently fill vacant technical positions in the company.
“At Petroterminal de Panamá, S.A. we know that access to education and development opportunities are fundamental for the success and well-being of young people, and for this reason we are proud to provide this set of tools to young Panamanians to promote their professional development,” commented Ana Álvarez, Human Resources Manager.
