At Petroterminal de Panamá S.A. we are aware of the relevant role we have in the development of our human talent and the communities where we operate. We consider that our success is not only due to the generation of economic benefits, but also to the generation of positive impacts, both socially and environmentally, in the areas of Chiriquí Grande, Puerto Armuelles, David and Panama City, the main areas of influence for the development of our activity.

We guide our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy to five pillars of action that seek the integral development of our collaborators and the communities that surround us, while maintaining an environmentally friendly operation:

Ethical and Responsible Business

We ensure respect for human rights in all areas of our business, developing policies and procedures that rule our operation. Based on our ethics, compliance, and transparency guidelines, we carry out the operation of Oil Canal of the World in a responsible and efficient way in front of our employees, clients and suppliers.

Environment

We believe that the sustainable development of communities involves the satisfaction of their current needs, without compromising the resources and possibilities of future generations. Our main commitment is to develop our activities in a responsible and friendly way with the environment and the biodiversity that surrounds us, honoring the applicable regulations and maintaining strict operational controls to properly manage the risks associated with our operations.

PTP Team

The well-being and personal and professional growth of our collaborators is our priority, they are the center of the operation of Oil Canal of the World. We invest in their continuous training to reinforce knowledge and skills that allow them to improve their performance and develop within the organization. We provide fair and safe working conditions, complying with our legal commitments and conducting a periodic evaluation of the work environment. We maintain an open communication to continue strengthening the trust relation and sense of unity as the PTP team.

Excellence and Operational Security

We are committed to achieving high excellence standards and service quality, through the implementation of a Quality Assurance Management System under the International Standard ISO 9001: 2015, the establishment of operational processes based on risk analysis and international standards for oil handling, as well as strict maintenance processes for our critical equipment to guarantee the reliability of our service and the satisfaction of our clients. We pay special attention to providing a safe operation for our employees, the communities that surround us and the environment.

Community Development

We guide our efforts to support different organizations, such as foundations, schools, homes, nursing homes, hospitals, among others that are an active part of the communities we operate in, and that impact their development and generation of social welfare. Our investment is allocated in three action areas: the promotion of education and culture, as the main tool for improvement and development to combat poverty and unemployment in the villages near our facilities; the promotion of health and nutrition for people's personal well-being and quality of life; and support for sports as a fundamental part of the development of talent and discipline of young people in the communities. We have the PTP Corporate Volunteering, a solidarity team that represents the values of the company and shares the social principles that guide our action. It seeks to transcend and contribute to the social development of the communities where we operate and the preservation of the environment.

Each of the initiatives that are part of the social action pillars of the company are guided by the principles of transparency, ethical behavior, respect for the interests of stakeholders, human rights and in compliance with the current national and international regulations.
